How much money do MLB players, teams make for winning the World Series (or losing a wild card game)?

Making it to a wild card game in Major League Baseball can be a nice little feather in a team’s cap, especially for one that wasn’t expected to be there (hello Cleveland Indians). It’s a nice little boost at the gate, too, at least for one playoff contest.

Of course, in terms of glory and dollars, it pays a hell of a lot more to win that game, and many more games after it. Ever wonder how the cash from those playoff games is divvied up between the franchises and the players?
